Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Wisconsin seeks a Medical Support Specialist to determine donor eligibility, review test results, and support the plasma donation process to ensure donor safety and quality. You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician guidance within a regulated plasma collection environment.

Role requires EMT licensure, CPR/AED, and 2 years clinical/hospital experience. The job emphasizes routine donor interactions, safety, and adherence to SOPs and regulatory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with graduate nursing program (state requirements).
• Current EMT license in one of EMT-B/A/I/P levels; LPN/LVN or RN licensure may apply.
• CPR and AED certification current.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history, physical examination, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on unacceptable findings.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/EHS as needed.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized and assist investigations.
