Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks a Medical Support Specialist in Onalaska, WI. In this role you determine donor eligibility, review test results, manage donor safety, and support center operations under supervision of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

Ideal candidates will hold a nursing or EMT license, CPR/AED certification, at least two years of clinical experience, and be prepared to participate in vaccination programs and EHS-driven activities.

Qualifications

• Must have nursing or EMT licensure as required by state.
• CPR and AED certification current.
• At least two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Willingness to participate in vaccination programs and EHS initiatives.
• Strong customer service and accuracy in record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history interview, and screening.
• Evaluate donor reactions and coordinate medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for abnormal findings.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and follow EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist investigations.
