Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Eau Claire, WI is seeking a Medical Support Specialist with EMT credentials to support plasma donation operations. You will assess donor eligibility, review lab results, and manage donor safety under physician guidance in a fast-paced center.

Responsibilities include handling donor adverse events, reporting to the Center Manager, and supporting vaccination programs and environmental health and safety initiatives as applicable.

Qualifications

• EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I or EMT-P certification required or in-state equivalent.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy and FDA training.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, informed consent, medical history, and interview.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer complex issues to Center Physician or Medical Affairs as applicable.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Assist with EHS guidance and incident investigations as needed.
