Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Onalaska, Wisconsin is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (EMT, AEMT, EMTI) to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, and manage donor safety and adverse events under medical guidance.

The role requires EMT-Paramedic licensure in the state, current CPR/AED certification, and at least two years in a clinical or hospital setting. Competitive benefits begin on day one and job training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed or certified EMT-Paramedic in the state of responsibilities.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, self-exclusion, medical history, physical examination, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs and standing orders.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance on medical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and determine need for occupational health/ER evaluation with EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist investigations as needed.
