Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Wisconsin (Onalaska) is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor safety, review test results, and communicate with the Center Physician and Medical Affairs as needed.

Qualifications

• CPR and AED certification required.
• State licensure in EMT or nursing (EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P or RN/LPN/LVN).
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred.
• FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history, and physical exam.
• Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and manage medical emergencies.
• Refer to Center Physician/Medical Affairs for concerning findings or medical guidance.
• Support vaccination programs for employees where applicable.
• Oversee incident reporting and occupational health/ER follow-up as needed.
