Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking an EMT-licensed Medical Support Specialist to determine donor eligibility, manage donor safety, and support plasma center operations. You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician to ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards.

The role emphasizes safety, clinical assessment, and coordination with medical staff in a fast-paced environment, with comprehensive benefits and predictable scheduling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program per state requirements.
• CPR and AED certification current.
• State EMT licensure (EMT-B/A/I/P) or nursing licensure (LPN/LVN/RN).
• FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, and blood testing.
• Review Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs; coordinate with Center Physician.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical or technical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
