Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services seeks an EMT-based Medical Support Specialist to assess donor eligibility and support the plasma donation process. You will review lab results, manage donor adverse events, and coordinate with physicians to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• EMT-based medical support role requiring valid EMT certification (B/A/I/P) for practice.
• CPR and AED certifications are current and maintained.
• Experience in clinical assessments and donor-related procedures.
• Regulatory familiarity with plasma collection and EHS guidance.
• Two years of clinical or hospital work supporting patient care.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, history, physicals and testing review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer complex findings to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance.
• Support vaccination programs and occupational health policies.
• Coordinate with EHS and Medical Affairs on incidents and investigations.
