Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking an Medical Support Specialist to support donor safety and plasma center operations in a fast-paced setting. You will assess donor eligibility, manage adverse events, and review laboratory results under supervision of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

Requirements include EMT licensure in the responsible state, CPR/AED, and at least two years in a clinical or hospital environment. Excellent patient service and compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and EMT licensure in the responsible state.
• CPR and AED certification held current.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Minimum two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history.
• Manage donor adverse events and review lab results (SPE).
• Notify donors of unsuitable test results per SOPs.
• Support donor safety, medical issues, and center physician guidance.
• Assist with vaccination programs and occupational health matters.
