Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary in Kansas, seeks a Medical Support Specialist to manage donor eligibility, adverse events, and testing results. You will operate under Center Manager guidance and align with Medical Affairs for medical issues.

You will also support vaccination programs and incident investigations, ensuring donor safety and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced plasma collection center environment.

Qualifications

• Includes EMT licensure and CPR/AED certification.
• Experience in a clinical/hospital setting preferred.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and donor testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unresolved findings.
• Support vaccination programs (Hepatitis B, Seasonal Flu) where applicable.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance.
