BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks Medical Support Specialist with EMT licensure and nursing credentials for donor eligibility, adverse event management, and lab result reviews at our Kansas City plasma center.

Role emphasizes regulatory knowledge, patient safety, and collaboration with the Center Manager and Medical Affairs. Prior clinical experience and CPR/AED certification are required, with state IV therapy readiness.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent; graduate of a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
• Current EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P certifications or LPN/LVN or RN license in the assigned state.
• CPR and AED certification current.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Responsabilidades

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent and donor acceptance requirements, medical history interview, physical exam, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs, with physician standing orders and donor transport as needed.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance on medical/technical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and determine need for occupational health/ER evaluation; follow EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized and assist investigations related to pandemics.
