Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks Medical Support Specialist to ensure donor safety and plasma center operations. You will determine eligibility, review test results, and manage adverse events under physician guidance.

Role requires EMT licensure (any level), CPR/AED, 2 years clinical experience, and compliance with FDA training. Responsibilities include donor safety, EHS collaboration, and vaccination program support.

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified in the responsible state: EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I, EMT-P, LPN/LVN, or RN.
• CPR and AED certification current.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history, and testing.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues.
• Support vaccination programs for employees (Hepatitis B, Seasonal Flu).
• Manage incidents with Occupational Health/EHS guidance.
• Possibly serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS.
