Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, manage donor safety, and coordinate with medical staff in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Position emphasizes adherence to SOPs, regulatory guidelines, and collaboration with Center Manager and Medical Affairs. EMT/RN/LPN licensure and CPR/AED required with clinical background.

Qualifications

• Licensed EMT in relevant state (EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P) or LPN/LVN or RN.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Two years clinical/hospital experience.
• Complete FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, informed consent, donor history, physical exam, SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for concerns on medical issues or donor safety.
• Support vaccination programs (Hepatitis B, Seasonal Flu) for employees where applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with Occupational Health/EHS as needed.
• Possibly serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS/Medical Affairs.
