Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking an Medical Support Specialist with EMT credentials to determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, and review lab results. You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician to ensure donor safety and high-quality plasma collection operations.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, patient care, and collaboration within BioLife and Takeda, with a focus on safety training and ongoing professional development in a fast-paced center environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent incl. nursing program
• Current state license/certification: EMT-B/A/I, Paramedic, LPN/LVN or RN
• CPR and AED certification
• Meet state IV therapy requirements
• FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history, and intake exams
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs
• Review lab test results and communicate unsuitable results to donors
• Coordinate with Center Physician and Medical Affairs on medical guidance
• Support EHS programs and incident reporting
