Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in the United States seeks a Medical Support Specialist to help ensure donor safety and support the plasma donation process. You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, and manage donor reactions under the Center Manager and Center Physician.

The role emphasizes patient care, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with BioLife Medical Affairs to ensure center operations run smoothly.

Qualifications

• Current EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P or RN/LPN license in the state of employment
• CPR and AED certification
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience
• High school diploma or equivalent with nursing program background

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history, and testing review
• Evaluate donor reactions and medical emergencies per SOPs and Center Physician orders
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for significant findings or guidance
• Support vaccination programs for employees (Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu) and EHS guidance on incidents
