Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services seeks Medical Support Specialists to determine donor eligibility, review lab results, and manage donor safety within a regulated plasma donation setting. You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician to ensure compliant operations.

Requirements include EMT/Nursing licensure in the applicable state, CPR/AED, and at least two years in a clinical or hospital setting. The role emphasizes patient care, safety, and collaboration with EHS and Medical Affairs.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed or certified EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P or LPN/LVN or RN in the responsible state.
• Current CPR and AED certification is required.
• Meet state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Fulfill FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history, physical exam, testing, and review of SPE results.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs and standing orders.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical or technical issues.
• Support vaccination programs for employees where applicable.
• Assist with EHS guidance and potential pandemic response as needed.
