Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services seeks skilled Medical Support Specialist to determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, and review lab results to maintain donor safety in the plasma donation process. You will support center operations under supervision of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

The role requires EMT/LPN/RN licenses, CPR/AED, and generally two years in clinical settings, with training aligned to BioLife Medical Affairs and EHS guidance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent including nursing program requirements.
• Licensed or certified EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I, EMT-P, LPN/LVN, or RN in the responsible state.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility with informed consent, medical history, and testing review.
• Manage donor adverse events and emergency referrals per SOPs.
• Review lab results and communicate unsuitable results to donors.
• Support vaccination programs for employees where applicable.
• Assist with EHS and safety guidance and center operations.
