Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking an Medical Support Specialist to determine donor eligibility, monitor donor safety, review test results, and communicate outcomes under the Center Manager and Center Physician guidance.

You will support vaccination programs, respond to adverse events, and ensure compliance with SOPs, EHS guidance, and regulatory requirements in a fast-paced plasma center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a recognized nursing program.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA-approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years of clinical/hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, history, physical exam, and testing review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage emergencies per SOPs and standing orders.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues.
• Support vaccination programs for employees and health safety initiatives.
• Manage employee incidents per EHS guidance; assist in investigations.
