Job summary

Global Medical Response in Massachusetts is hiring an EMS Call Receiver to respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for ambulance and transportation services. This person assigns and routes transportation requests and provides clear communication to ensure quality care for our customers.

Responsibilities include following Emergency Medical Dispatch protocols, allocating EMS resources, and ensuring complete and accurate paperwork and data entry for each shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year EMS or public safety dispatcher experience or relevant training.
• Strong English reading and writing skills.
• Ability to record, transmit, and report information accurately.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls and route requests.
• Follow dispatch protocols and allocate EMS resources as needed.
• Complete shift paperwork accurately before end of shift.
• Enter shift data and state Run Reports with accuracy.
• Generate reports and verify information for quality control.
• Maintain knowledge of policies, procedures, and memoranda.
• Relay instructions from supervisors via radio and telephone.
• Operate equipment including 911 systems and recording devices.
