Job summary

Global Medical Response is seeking a Dispatcher to handle emergency and non-emergency calls, assign EMS resources, and ensure accurate data entry and reporting. The role requires clear English communication, basic computer use, and prior EMS/dispatch familiarity.

The position is full-time in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and adherence to established protocols. Candidates should be able to multitask and operate standard dispatch equipment efficiently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimal medical training or telecommunications experience required, or 1+ year EMS/public safety dispatcher experience.
• Excellent reading/writing skills in English.
• Clear radio/telephone communication capabilities.
• Accurate data entry and report generation.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for ambulance and transportation services.
• Assign and route transportation requests using approved protocols.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and data entry for each shift.
• Generate and verify shift reports and state run data as needed.
• Relay instructions from supervisors and monitor communications.
• Stay informed on policies, procedures, and equipment use.
• Handle multiple tasks simultaneously and demonstrate typing speed.
