Job summary

AMR is hiring dispatchers to respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for ambulance and transportation services. You will assign/routes transportation requests and communicate clearly in all situations to ensure quality support and care for our customers.

Responsibilities include interpreting EMS dispatch standards, proper resource allocation, precise paperwork, and accurate data entry. You will use 911 and related equipment to relay information and generate reports, while adhering to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Skilled in reading and writing English.
• Ability to communicate clearly on the radio and telephone.
• Ability to record, transmit, and report information accurately.
• Ability to efficiently utilize all equipment assigned to him or her.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Possess good typing skills with speed and accuracy necessary to efficiently process emergency and nonemergency calls.
• Ability to understand basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for ambulance and transportation services.
• Assign and route transportation requests.
• Maintain accurate paperwork before shift end.
• Enter data accurately for the shift; include State Run Report data entry as assigned.
• Generate applicable reports and verify accuracy.
• Locate incident scenes and determine safest routes using locator aids.
• Relay instructions from supervisors and emergency information.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Follow established request-for-service protocols.
• Be proficient with all assigned equipment including 911 systems and phones.
