Global Medical Response in Pleasant Hill, CA is seeking a Dispatch Associate to receive and dispatch emergency and non-emergency calls to field units via a CAD system. Under the supervision of the Communications Supervisor, you will coordinate with EMTs and paramedics to ensure timely response.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry, radio communications, and monitoring unit status. A HS diploma and CAD experience are preferred, with a 12-hour shift structure common to the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 18 years of age or older.
• At least 6 months of prior work experience with phone and customer service duties.
• Two years of progressive experience within a EMS or Fire Dispatch system preferred.
• CAD and data entry experience with typing speed of at least 35 wpm; certificate within past 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming emergency and non-emergency calls and determine appropriate response levels.
• Dispatch and maintain radio communications with BLS and ALS units.
• Monitor and document response times and unit locations in CAD.
• Input pertinent data into the CAD system and generate daily status reports.
• Adhere to company policies and participate in data collection for billing.
