Job summary

Global Medical Response is seeking a dedicated Dispatch Associate in Pleasant Hill/Concord, CA. You will receive and dispatch emergency and non-emergency calls to EMS units using a CAD system, coordinating field resources and ensuring timely responses.

The role requires strong communication, CAD/data-entry skills, and the ability to work shifts, including time on ALS units. 12-hour shifts with approx. 42 hours weekly and competitive benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 18+ years old.
• 6 months of phone and customer service experience.
• 2 years EMS or Fire Dispatch experience preferred.
• CAD and data entry with 35 wpm; certificate at interview.
• CPR and First Aid certification or EMT/paramedic preferred.
• Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication.
• Experience with Intergraph Public Safety CAD preferred.
• Experience using TRITECH preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and dispatch calls using CAD; allocate resources.
• Dispatch and maintain radio communications with BLS/ALS units.
• Monitor response times and document incidents.
• Maintain professional communications with patients, facilities, and agencies.
• Submit daily status reports to Communications Supervisor.
• Monitor system performance and inform field staff of demands.
• Adhere to company policies and assist data collection for billing.
• Occasionally ride ALS ambulance, QRV, or fire units.
