Job summary

AMR in Pleasant Hill/Concord, CA is seeking a Dispatch Associate to receive and dispatch emergency and non-emergency calls using a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system. You will coordinate EMS resources, monitor unit movements, and maintain radio communications with BLS/ALS units under supervision.

The role requires strong communication, data entry, and typing skills, with CAD experience and CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 6 months of customer service.
• Two years EMS/Fire Dispatch experience preferred.
• CAD and data entry with 35 wpm, certificate within past 6 months.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification or EMT/Paramedic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives emergency and non-emergency calls and determines proper response level.
• Allocates resources and inputs information into CAD system.
• Dispatches and maintains radio communications with EMS units.
• Monitors and documents unit response times.
• Completes daily status reports to Communications Supervisor.
• Ride on ALS ambulance or related vehicle periodically.
