Qualifications

• General understanding of medical terminology or healthcare experience.
• Two years of EMS dispatcher or call center experience (or equivalent).
• Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Answer and triage calls in Dispatch Department and direct to appropriate resources.
• Operate a PC; use Microsoft Office and CAD.
• Input transport requests using CAD and web-based programs.
• Maintain familiarity with service areas and medical facilities.
• Follow company and customer policies and procedures.
• Maintain calm, professional demeanor during difficult interactions.
• Take direction and work independently or in a group.
• Train new hires in dispatch.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
