Work Opportunities Unlimited (WOU) is an employee-owned organization serving people with diverse skills since 1982. As an Employment Specialist, you help individuals find meaningful employment and guide them through goal setting, resume creation, applications, and interview prep.

You will travel locally in your own vehicle to coach clients, build relationships with local businesses, and support job development in the community.

As an Employment Specialist (known internally as a Career Resource Specialist) you will help individuals find meaningful employment.

A typical day might include the following:

• Working with individuals to develop career goals and objectives
• Teaching individuals how to create a customized resume, fill out effective job applications, write cover letters, and prepare for interviews
• Engaging with local businesses to develop potential job opportunities
• Coaching and guiding individuals at their job sites
• Community-based travel in your personal vehicle to facilitate community-based job development and coaching, ensuring all services are delivered directly in the local environment. (mileage reimbursement provided)

• Management of a small team

Additional requirements include:

• Valid driver’s license and comfortable traveling within your local community
• Monday – Friday, daytime business hours (flexibility offered for part-time)
• Comfortable using MS Office, documenting notes in an electronic system, and accessing apps on a mobile device

Pay: $20-$23 per hour
