Job summary

Work Opportunities Unlimited (WOU) is an ESOP‑owned organization committed to helping people with diverse skills and abilities find meaningful employment. As an Employment Specialist, you will assist individuals in identifying career goals, coaching them on resumes, applications, and interview prep, and building local job opportunities.

You will travel within your community to deliver services, coach at job sites, and collaborate with local businesses while maintaining day‑to‑day administrative

Qualifications

• Previous experience in high-touch customer service environments
• Able to work collaboratively in a team but also independently
• Valid driver’s license and comfortable traveling within your local community
• Available Monday–Friday during daytime business hours; part-time flexibility
• Proficient with MS Office, documenting notes in an electronic system, and using apps on a mobile device

• Teach resume writing, applications, cover letters, and interview preparation
• Engage with local businesses to create job opportunities
• Coach and guide individuals at their job sites
• Travel in the community to deliver services (mileage reimbursement)

As an Employment Specialist (known internally as a Career Resource Specialist) you will help individuals find meaningful employment.

A typical day might include the following:

• Working with individuals to develop career goals and objectives
• Teaching individuals how to create a customized resume, fill out effective job applications, write cover letters, and prepare for interviews
• Engaging with local businesses to develop potential job opportunities
• Coaching and guiding individuals at their job sites
• Community‑based travel in your personal vehicle to facilitate community‑based job development and coaching, ensuring all services are delivered directly in the local environment. (mileage reimbursement provided)

Additional requirements include:

Pay: $21-$24 per hour
