Job summary

Work Opportunities Unlimited is seeking an Employment Specialist to assist individuals in finding meaningful employment. This role focuses on coaching, resume development, interview preparation, and building connections with local employers.

The position requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel within the community; hours are Monday through Friday with some part-time flexibility. Mileage reimbursement is provided, and benefits will be offered to eligible staff.

As an Employment Specialist (known internally as a Career Resource Specialist) you will help individuals find meaningful employment.

A typical day might include the following:

• Working with individuals to develop career goals and objectives
• Teaching individuals how to create a customized resume, fill out effective job applications, write cover letters, and prepare for interviews
• Engaging with local businesses to develop potential job opportunities
• Coaching and guiding individuals at their job sites
• Provide occasional transportation to interviews and other essential employment milestones, while supporting individuals towards independent community travel. (mileage reimbursement provided)

• Valid driver's license and comfortable traveling within your local community
• Monday - Friday, daytime business hours (flexibility offered for part-time)
• Comfortable using MS Office, documenting notes in an electronic system, and accessing apps on a mobile device
