Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally.
• Daytime hours, Monday–Friday; part-time flexible options.

As an Employment Specialist (known internally as a Career Resource Specialist) you will help individuals find meaningful employment.

A typical day might include the following:

• Working with individuals to develop career goals and objectives

• Teaching individuals how to create a customized resume, fill out effective job applications, write cover letters, and prepare for interviews

• Engaging with local businesses to develop potential job opportunities

• Coaching and guiding individuals at their job sites

• Provide occasional transportation to interviews and other essential employment milestones, while supporting individuals towards independent community travel. (mileage reimbursement provided)

Additional requirements include:

• MUST HAVE A bachelor’s degree with one year of direct experience working with individuals with disabilities OR an associate degree with two years of direct experience working with individuals with disabilities OR High School Diploma (or GED) with four years direct experience working with individuals with disabilities.

• Valid driver’s license and comfortable traveling within your local community

• Monday – Friday, daytime business hours (flexibility offered for part-time)

• Comfortable using MS Office, documenting notes in an electronic system, and accessing apps on a mobile device
