Job summary

Work Opportunities Unlimited in Hershey, PA is seeking an Employment Specialist (Career Resource Specialist) to help individuals set career goals, build resumes, complete applications, and prepare for interviews.

You will engage with local businesses to expand job opportunities, coach at job sites, and provide transportation support as needed. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel required; pay is $20–$22 per hour with benefits and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Help individuals set career goals and objectives.
• Coach on resume writing, job applications, cover letters, and interview prep.
• Engage with local businesses to create job opportunities.
• Coach and guide individuals at their job sites; support travel to interviews.
• Document notes in an electronic system and use MS Office and mobile apps.

Employment Specialist (known internally as a Career Resource Specialist)

A typical day might include the following:

• Working with individuals to develop career goals and objectives

• Teaching individuals how to create a customized resume, fill out effective job applications, write cover letters, and prepare for interviews

• Engaging with local businesses to develop potential job opportunities

• Coaching and guiding individuals at their job sites
• Provide occasional transportation to interviews and other essential employment milestones, while supporting individuals towards independent community travel. (mileage reimbursement provided)

• Comfortable using MS Office, documenting notes in an electronic system, and accessing apps on a mobile device
