Job summary

The Kendall Group in Columbus, OH is seeking a Technical Specialist to join our outside sales team. You will manage an assigned territory across the Midwest, cultivate relationships with manufacturers and customers, and drive profitable orders while meeting annual sales targets.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will negotiate contracts, present products, analyze field activities, and identify opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-year experience in outside sales.
• Bachelor’s degree, technical degree, or equivalent.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage, grow, strategize, and support the assigned territory
• Work alongside an established team covering multiple states in the Midwest market
• Generate profitable orders and meet or exceed annual sales targets
• Actively seek out new clients to expand the assigned territory
• Maintain strong and trusted relationships with manufacturers and customers
• Regularly analyze your field activities, determine the improvements required, act on them, ultimately bringing a high level of productivity and efficiency
• Monitor and review all quotations, professionally follow-up, and maximize sales
• Develop a full understanding of your client base, territory, competition, and market
• Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently, negotiate effectively, manage sales planning skills
• Identify all sales opportunities and work earnestly to convert them to orders
• Perform other duties as assigned
