Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking an Assistant Club Manager in Training (AMIT) to lead and develop departments within the club while aligning with GOLD standards and safety policies. You’ll collaborate with the Club Manager and drive operational excellence across merchandising, perishables, or member experience tracks.

The AMIT program emphasizes leadership development, talent coaching, onboarding, and certification to ensure food safety and operational mastery.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in retail store, supermarket, or warehouse operations management.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead a large team.
• Forklift operation and safety knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Strategic Department Leadership across assigned departments with a focus on business acumen and execution.
• Recruit, Hire, and Onboard team members to ensure capable staffing.
• Oversee labor planning and scheduling to align with trends and budgets.
• Drive sales, inventory control, and shrink management with data-driven decisions.
• Lead compliance with food safety, sanitation, and safety standards and audits.
