Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Club Manager in Training (AMIT) to lead departments, develop talent, and drive club performance.

You will partner with the Club Manager to ensure policies are followed, member satisfaction is high, and daily operations run smoothly. The AMIT role includes potential tracks in Merchandising, Perishables, or Member Experience, with leadership development, audits, onboarding, certification, and training responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and ability to motivate a large team.
• Excellent communication skills and customer focus.
• Experience in retail store operations and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic department leadership across assigned areas.
• Recruit, hire, and onboard team members with certification.
• Oversee labor planning and scheduling to meet targets.
• Drive sales, inventory control, and shrink management.
• Champion member experience standards (GOLD/GAA).
• Utilize BJ’s MY WORK system for daily tasks and reporting.
