Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Club Manager in Training (AMIT) to lead designated departments with the Club Manager’s guidance.

You will drive department performance, develop talent, and ensure outstanding member service and GOLD standards across the club. The AMIT will oversee onboarding, certification, and training to ensure food safety and operational excellence, and may serve as Manager on Duty as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in retail store, supermarket, or warehouse operations leadership.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead and motivate a large team.
• Knowledge of shrink controls, merchandising, customer service, problem solving, and conflict resolution.
• Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Certification; forklift operator required.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic departmental leadership for assigned stores and departments.
• Oversee labor planning, scheduling, and staffing decisions.
• Drive sales, inventory control, and shrink management through accurate execution.
• Champion Member Experience standards (GAA, GOLD) and maintain club standards daily.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and training across the club; lead talent development and performance reviews.
