Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking an Assistant Club Manager in Training (AMIT) to lead designated departments and drive club performance. The role focuses on leadership, policy execution, and delivering a premium member experience under the Club Manager's guidance.

The AMIT will develop talent, oversee onboarding and training, and step in as Manager on Duty as needed. A ServSafe certification is required and forklift certification may be needed periodically. This is a full-time on-site opportunity.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Must be able to lead and motivate a large team.
• Strong leadership and people development capabilities.
• Knowledge of store operations, membership, front‑line, gas station, maintenance, receiving, and omni procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily club operations across assigned departments (Merchandising, Perishables, or Member Experience).
• Recruit, hire, and onboard team members with appropriate certifications.
• Oversee Labor Planning and Scheduling to align coverage with trends and budget targets.
• Drive Sales, Inventory Control, and Shrink Management to meet metrics.
• Ensure Compliance and Safety through audits and SOPs.
