Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in the United States seeks an Assistant Club Manager in Training (AMIT) to lead, develop talent, and drive club performance across designated departments. The role includes directing operations, ensuring GOLD standards, and preparing for one of three tracks: Merchandising, Perishables, or Member Experience.

You will work with the Club Manager, manage audits, training, and safety compliance, and may serve as Manager on Duty.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of store/operations management experience.
• Strong results orientation and service focus.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to lead large teams and cross-functional partners.
• Knowledge of store operations, membership, omni procedures.
• Forklift operation knowledge and ServSafe familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic department leadership across assigned departments (Merchandising, Perishables, or Member Experience).
• Recruit, hire, and onboard team members with certification and training.
• Oversee labor planning and scheduling to meet budgets and demand.
• Drive sales, inventory control, and shrink management.
• Champion Member Experience standards (GAA, GOLD) across departments.
• Ensure compliance, safety, and audits; lead operational readiness.
