Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group is hiring an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced ER team. You will work on the front lines of emergency care, handling cases from triage through discharge, collaborating with doctors to deliver gold-standard, compassionate care for pets and their families.

Expect opportunities to expand skills, mentorship, and a supportive, high-energy environment. Nights, weekends, and holidays may be required based on hospital needs.

Qualifications

• Empathetic, people-centric approach in high-stress ER settings.
• Strong communication with team and pet parents under pressure.
• Calm, focused demeanor during emergencies and critical care.

Responsibilities

• Treat each patient and caregiver with care and support throughout all steps of care.
• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support during critical moments.
• Assist with IVs, monitoring, and advanced care techniques as needed.
• Collaborate with doctors to plan and adjust treatment plans in real time.
• Participate in CPR and emergency protocols as trained (RECOVER).
• Support diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and aseptic procedures.
• Perform anesthesia for fragile patients when required.
