Job summary

The Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) invites an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team. You will collaborate with doctors to provide gold-standard, compassionate care for pets in urgent moments, from triage to critical care and recovery.

You’ll work in a fast-paced hospital environment, perform anesthesia, diagnostics, and nursing procedures, and grow your expertise through mentorship, training, and ongoing ER CE resources.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; AVMA-accredited degree preferred.
• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the state of practice.
• 1+ years in a veterinary technician role; emergency experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and EMR knowledge.
• Calm under pressure and able to support the team.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage to discharge.
• Assist with diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Handle medications, IVs/CRIs, and monitoring equipment.
• Collaborate with doctors to shape plans and maintain workflow.
• perform CPR and manage emergency procedures as trained.
• Assist with imaging, sample collection, and tube placement.
• Support fragile patients with appropriate care and compassion.
