UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Registration Specialist to support patient intake and financial counseling at the Marlborough campus. You will collect demographics, verify insurance, and schedule initial or follow-up appointments with a focus on accurate data entry and patient care.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, medical terminology knowledge, and the ability to work in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of data entry experience.
• Strong customer service skills both verbal and written.
• Proficient in Windows and navigating computer systems.
• Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.
• EPIC experience is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Enter and verify patient demographics, insurance and related data.
• Verify insurance coverage and pre-authorizations as required.
• Schedule radiology, lab and ancillary services.
• Handle patient sign-offs and HIPAA paperwork.
• Collect patient liabilities and explain financial responsibilities.
