Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a part-time Registration Representative in Milford, MA. The role involves on-site engagement with patients, accurate data entry for demographic and insurance details, and verification of coverage to support pre-authorizations and scheduling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1–2 years of data entry experience required.
• Proficient data-entry skills with strong attention to detail.
• Must have computer skills including Windows navigation.
• Strong customer service skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Accurately obtains and enters demographic, insurance and related patient information into the registration system.
• Verifies patient insurance coverage and obtains necessary pre-authorizations/admissions support.
• Schedules Radiology, Lab and basic ancillary service appointments.
• Collects patient liabilities and handles payments prior to or at the time of service.
• Maintains records and supports clerical duties such as faxes, transcription and file management.
