Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to obtain medication histories for ED patients, document them in the EHR, and communicate findings to ED staff. The role supports pharmacists and physicians and may perform inpatient technician duties when required.

Requirements include a high school diploma, CPhT certification, and NJ registration (or within 6 months). Strong communication and attention to detail are essential in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalency.
• CPhT certification required.
• Current NJ Board of Pharmacy Registration or acquire within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Obtain medication histories from patients or family, including OTCs and supplements.
• Record medication and allergy history into the EHR for pharmacist/physician review.
• Communicate completion of medication history to ED staff.
• Perform other inpatient pharmacy technician tasks as needed.
