Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to obtain med histories for ED patients and document information into the EHR for pharmacist review. You will coordinate with ED pharmacists, physicians and nurses to ensure accurate medication histories and allergy data are captured.

This role may perform inpatient technician duties as needed. Requires a CPhT and NJ registration (or ability to obtain within 6 months) plus at least two years of experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required and CPhT certification.
• Current NJ Board of Pharmacy registration or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Minimum of two years pharmacy technician experience; PTCB history preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain medication histories for ED patients via interviews with patients or caregivers.
• Document current medications and allergies into the EHR for pharmacist review.
• Communicate completed medication history to ED pharmacist, physician and nursing staff.
• Perform inpatient pharmacy technician duties if needed.
