Job summary

UAB Medicine is expanding the Emergency Department at UAB Hospital in Alabama and hiring experienced nurses to join a large, high-volume team. The role supports care across a Level I trauma center with new spaces and upgraded tech, including CT, X-ray, and echo ultrasound.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of nursing experience preferred.
• 2+ years in psychiatric nursing or psychiatric emergency nursing preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program; RN license required in Alabama; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients using the nursing process with data gathering, assessment, and evaluation.
• Coordinate and manage all aspects of nursing care for patients, families, and the community.
• Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, podiatrists, and dentists to deliver safe, cost-effective care.
