Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama is expanding its Emergency Department at UAB Hospital, a Level I trauma center, and is hiring additional nursing staff. The new space will include advanced imaging and telemetry, designed with input from staff, and offers opportunities in a high-volume, state-of-the-art environment. Positions include full-time and part-time roles with AM/PM shifts, weekends, and 7 a.m.–7 p.m.

or 7 p.m.–7 a.m. schedules.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
• RN license to practice in Alabama required.
• BLS certification required or to be obtained within 30 days.
• ACLS/PALS may be required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide care and counseling to promote health and prevent illness.
• Delegate, coordinate and manage all aspects of nursing care with the health care team.
• Collaborate with patients, families and physicians to deliver timely, cost-effective care.
