UAB Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama, is expanding its Emergency Department at UAB Hospital, one of the nation’s largest trauma centers, and seeks experienced ED nurses to join the team. Qualifications

• 3+ years nursing experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Alabama or eligible.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required or to be obtained within 30 days.
• ACLS and/or PALS may be required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to care for and counsel individuals in health promotion and prevention of illness and injury.
• Identify patient needs using the AACN Synergy Model.
• Delegate, coordinate and manage all aspects of nursing care with the health care team and physicians.
