Job summary

UAB Medicine is expanding the Emergency Department at UAB Hospital in Alabama and is hiring nurses to support the growth of one of the nation’s largest EDs. This role involves working within a Level I trauma center setting and participating in a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications include a nursing degree and active RN license in Alabama, with preference for 3+ years of nursing and psychiatric/ED experience.

Qualifications

• 3 years or more of nursing experience preferred.
• 2+ years of experience preferred in psychiatric nursing, psychiatric emergency nursing, or correctional nursing.
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to care and/or counsel individuals in health promotion and illness prevention.
• Identify patient needs using AACN Synergy Model; delegate, coordinate and manage all aspects of nursing care with healthcare team.
