Job summary

UAB Medicine is expanding its Emergency Department at UAB Hospital, Alabama’s first ACS-verified Level I Adult Trauma Center. We’re hiring RNs for full-time and part-time AM and PM shifts, including weekends, with 7 a.m.–7 p.m. and 7 p.m.–7 a.m.

Qualifications

• 3 years or more of nursing experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required.
• Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as an RN by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
• BLS certification required or should be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS and/or PALS may be required depending on unit/department.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to care for and counsel individuals in health promotion and illness prevention.
• Delegate, coordinate and manage all aspects of nursing care for patients and families.
• Collaborate with the health care team and licensed physicians to deliver timely, cost-effective patient care.
