Job summary

UAB Medicine is expanding its Emergency Department at UAB Hospital in Alabama and hiring registered nurses to join a large, high-capacity team. The role focuses on using the nursing process to promote health, prevent illness, and deliver compassionate patient care in a fast-paced ED environment.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of nursing experience, with preference for those with psychiatric/emergency nursing backgrounds.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of nursing experience preferred.
• 2+ years of experience preferred in psychiatric nursing, psychiatric emergency nursing, or correctional nursing.
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to care for patients and counsel on health maintenance and prevention.
• Coordinate and manage all aspects of nursing care in collaboration with the health care team and licensed physicians.
