Qualifications

• Two years' work experience in customer service, healthcare or business-related field.
• Associate's degree or 2 years formal education or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct patients and families to testing and surgical areas in a courteous and welcoming manner; assist patients, family and visitors including transportation as needed.
• Registration responsibilities: obtain/verify required patient information for entry into the registration system.
• Greet patients and others, provide information to promote understanding of procedures and hospital environment; maintain exceptional people skills.
• Maintain confidentiality of medical information; keep offices and work areas orderly and stocked.
• Access department communications daily via telephone and/or e-mail; implement changes to information collection procedures as needed.
• Act as a preceptor for new hires; provide required education for the position.
• Perform other duties as assigned by PAS leadership.
