Job summary

Munson Healthcare is seeking a Patient Access Representative to greet patients and direct them to testing and surgical areas in a courteous, welcoming manner. You will verify required information in the registration system and assist patients and families as needed, maintaining confidentiality and a high level of service.

The position requires an Associate's degree or 2 years of formal education, plus 2 years of customer service, healthcare, or related experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 2 years formal education.
• Two years' work experience in customer service, healthcare or related field.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and direct them to testing and surgical areas in a courteous and welcoming manner; assist mobility as needed.
• Register patients by obtaining and verifying required information for the registration system.
• Provide information to promote patient understanding of procedures and the hospital environment; maintain confidentiality.
• Manage department communications via telephone and email; implement required information changes.
• Serve as a preceptor for new hires and provide required education.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the PAS leadership team.
