Public Safety Dispatch Network seeks dedicated 911 Call Takers in Bement, IL to handle incoming emergency and nonemergency lines, verify location and callback details, and document information in dispatch systems. Training and certification enable delivery of pre-arrival instructions and coordinated response.

Ideal candidates have strong listening, typing, and communication skills, with the ability to follow structured procedures and work a rotating schedule as needed in a 24/7 environment.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required; customer service or call center experience helpful.
• Strong listening and typing skills; ability to follow structured procedures.
• Clear verbal communication and ability to document information accurately.

Mansioni

• Answer incoming emergency calls and assigned nonemergency lines.
• Confirm incident location and caller’s callback information.
• Use approved questions to identify urgency of situation.
• Enter accurate details into call-processing or dispatch software.
• Forward incident information promptly to the appropriate dispatch function.
• Assist distressed callers with guidance within training parameters.
• Utilize language-access resources when needed.
• Provide pre-arrival instructions only within training and certification.
